Honeysuckle pottery is nestled in Carrol County's "Maryland Backwoods," a peaceful country setting complete with a beautiful view of the Catoctin Mountains. It is a perfect atmosphere for production of my uniquely crafted Stoneware pottery. STUDIO, SWEET, STUDIO!

Two hundered years ago, FKS wrote the "Star-Splangled Banner", his homeplace, Terra Rubra, is within a few miles of my home.. I believe it means Red Earth. One look at our ground and you would agree. My flag is a replicate from Haxel Flags in Balitmore.
First, let me begin by telling you a little about myself and the origins of Honeysuckle Lane. My first show was New Market Days, Maryland in 1988. I was excited to start my craft business which allowed me the freedom to become a stay-at-home Mama for my two children. My first few years, I sold combination of dry flower arrangements and pottery. As the years havecome and gone and children have grown and flown, I now proudly sellwheel-thrown functional and decorative stoneware pottery in three states at regional craft festivals.
Also sell my pottery at the Whistle Stop in Downtown Durbin, WV!! 2012 Main Street, across form the train station!! Look for the "bubbles"!!!

Elisa Dasher began her fascination with clay when her children were born and she became a stay-at-home mom. It is that fascination that led her to participate in 18 or so craft festivals per year since 1988 in a four state area. Her pottery becoming her sole income over the course of years.
I’ve always been an artsy person. I was trained in classical ballet and pottery has the same body movements, the same repetitive movements. Classical ballet teaches you that there’s only one way to become good: by working very hard. So when I started making pots, I already had the discipline and the instinct for art. Not only does it keep me grounded, it hones my precisions. For a piece to be functional, it must work for the eye and heart as well as for the hand, every piece in harmony. My work as a potter is always evolving, always changing. Clay is just the best art media, it is so pliable. And besides, I just love to throw pots. ” Elisa explains.

Please keep in mind that I am still working totally myself. I enjoy working souly on my own. I am very dependable, others sometimes are not. I am the 'Little Red Hen'. BUT due to this, please, keep in mind that my inventory changes. Different styles of pots sometimes disappear from my shelves never to be seen again. This keeps my work alive and fresh.
